In cities with a Chinatown, weekend mornings bring dim sum carts or order sheets, and lines form early at the most popular spots in Lansing; walk-ins are standard and reservations are uncommon outside large banquet restaurants. Regional labels matter: Cantonese, Sichuan, Hunan, Shanghainese and Taiwanese kitchens cook very differently, so a restaurant's stated region is a better guide to the food than the word "Chinese" alone. Some smaller restaurants in Michigan are BYOB with no corkage fee; call ahead to confirm. A tip of 15-20% is customary for table service but not expected at counter-order takeout. Spice level, MSG and allergen questions are normal to ask before ordering, and most kitchens are happy to leave an ingredient out or tone down the heat if you mention it when ordering rather than after the food arrives.

The food came out really quick and the service was solid the whole time. Our server was very attentive, constantly adding broth to the pots and changing out the BBQ grills without us having to ask. Lots of meat options and there was a nice variety to choose from, plus plenty of sides. Overall a really good experience.

We stopped here for dinner on our drive back to Toronto, and it ended up being such a pleasant surprise. We chose the hot pot, and I loved that the menu actually listed the calories for every plate. Such a nice touch. It was around $40 per person, not including drinks. π Thai Tom Yum Broth βοΈβοΈβοΈβοΈ Slightly spicy, but just enough to keep things flavorful without overwhelming the ingredients. I was especially happy that it didnβt have a strong coconut milk flavor. Just a clean, tangy, mildly spicy broth that worked really well for cooking everything. π Ingredients & Buffet βοΈβοΈβοΈβοΈβ¨ The sliced beef was surprisingly thick, which made it so satisfying to eat. The chicken was good too. The buffet had a huge variety of sides. The chicken wings were massive and delicious. I was also surprised to see crawfish, oysters (they were quite small and honestly not my favorite), and even crab. There were plenty of fruits, appetizers, dipping sauces, and cold dishes to choose from. I especially liked the pickled radish and the seaweed salad. As always, I went straight for the oranges, and the watermelon was surprisingly sweet too. Overall, a really satisfying stop that exceeded my expe

My daughter and I have gone here twice, and she and her friends have gone together once. My daughter tends to be a picky eater because of sensory issues, but she and I have no complaints. Chloe was a great server and always made sure to help in every way she could. My daughter asked for lemon because it wasnβt at the buffet or in the tablet ordering, and Chloe got us some. She also told us how to cook the oysters and was super nice. My daughter and I both have no complaints. Once again, everything was great, Chloe was phenomenal. P.s. my daughter took the picture

Had a great experience at this Kpot location. Staff were excellent and the food was pretty good. We did get a few calamari that were impossible to bite through (unfortunately contributing to our waste). Some of the fruit in the buffet was looking meh (namely grapes). Regardless, the other food products were excellent and the staff were very attentive and swapped out grill top frequently.

We visited KPOT with a group and had a great experience. The food came out quickly even when we ordered a wide variety of items, which made the meal smooth and enjoyable. Since it is all you can eat, the meat quality may not be premium level, but it was still tasty and more than satisfying. The appetizer bar also had plenty of options for kids, which was a big plus for our family. We also loved being able to mix and customize different hot pot sauces. Most of all, we want to recognize Brandon. He was incredibly kind, friendly, and attentive throughout our entire visit. Since it was our first time at a restaurant like this, we had a lot of questions, and Brandon made everything easy and comfortable for us. His smile, quick help, and genuine hospitality really stood out and made the whole experience memorable. We truly appreciate his service and hope KPOT knows what a great team member they have
